The enchanting resonance of Julie Sévilla Fraysse's cello explores all shores, genres, and epochs, adopting various forms to magnify the essence. After being a core member of the Republican Guard Orchestra and then the Paris Opera Orchestra, Julie now dedicates herself to her solo career. Her creative spirit and strong desire for expression lead her to regularly perform solo concerts in various venues and festivals in France and internationally (Pablo Casals Festival in Prades, Rosey Concert Hall in Switzerland, Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, Gustave Eiffel Salon in Paris, French Embassy in Washington, French House in New York, French Alliance in Malta, etc.). She has already played the major concertos with the Republican Guard Orchestra, the Toulon Opera Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Morocco, and also performs solo programs around J.S Bach and folk music.
Driven by a passion for chamber music, Julie has shared the stage with renowned artists. She has participated in various formations, including the Werther Trio, with which she performed at the Roque d'Anthéron Festival. In sonata formation, she regularly collaborates with pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha and Anastasia Calmus around a poetry and music program called "French Touch." Julie also forms a duo with young hip-hop dancer Yann Antonio. She frequently performs alongside harpist Anja Linder and violinist Laurent Korcia, presenting a program dedicated to Franz Schubert.
At the age of 7, Julie began her cello studies at the Conservatoire de Nice, where she obtained her Diplôme d'Études Musicales at 16. At 17, she joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris under the guidance of Mr. Roland Pidoux. Thanks to an exchange program of the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation, Julie studied at the Juilliard School in New York for a semester. In 2012, she graduated with distinction and became an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she worked with Gary Hoffman to obtain her Artist Diploma in 2016. She was a laureate of the Banque Populaire Foundation in 2013.
Because music can soothe souls, Julie also trains in music mediation with the Art-Ondes organization and Pascal Viossat. In 2022, with the support of her patron, Mr. McKelvy, she had the opportunity to perform for severely handicapped children in the United States at Meeting Street and Grace School (Providence). Julie also serves as Artistic Director at CoCreate Humanity, a community of humanitarian peers offering comprehensive, psychosocial, and holistic solutions to support humanitarian workers. She performs monthly in hospitals in the Paris region alongside patients, thanks to the Tournesol Artists at the Hospital association. Julie shares her expertise through Master Classes in Malaysia at the Rhapsody Music Festival, in the United States at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School, or in Mexico with musicians from OSUAEH. She serves as president of the string jury at the National Music Competition of Morocco in 2023 and 2024.

Son parcours amène Julie, originaire de Nice, à étudier à l’Academie Rainier III de Monaco, puis à intégrer à 17 ans le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris dans la classe de Roland Pidoux. Elle séjourne ensuite à la Juilliard School de New York avant d’être artiste résidente à La Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth en Belgique auprès de Gary Hoffman.
C’est en 2015, qu’elle choisit d’enregistrer la Sonate pour violoncelle seul opus 8 de Zoltan Kodaly dans son premier disque « Folklore » sous le label Klarthe et ce grâce au soutien de la Fondation Banque Populaire dont elle avait été lauréate en 2013 après avoir été lauréate du Fond Kriegelstein en 2010.
Julie transmets son expérience et son savoir lors de master classes comme en Malaisie lors du Rhapsody Music Festival en 2018 , avec l’Andalusian Youth Orchestra en 2021.
Après avoir été membre titulaire de l’Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine puis de l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris , Julie se consacre désormais à sa carrière de soliste et a déjà joué les grands concertos du répertoire avec l’Orchestre Symphonique d’Hidalgo au Mexique, avec le Camerata Venia à Genève , l’Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie et cette année avec l’Orchestre de la Garde Républicaine, l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Toulon et l’Orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc.
En 2018, elle s'est produite en direct devant 50000 personnes au Festival français "Un Violon sur le Sable" offrant un hommage à la légende du rock Johnny Hallyday . Elle sera d’ailleurs violoncelle solo de la tournée Johnny Symphonique auprès d’Yvan Cassar en 2023 et 2024.
En 2022 sort son deuxième disque consacré aux deux concertos de J.Haydn avec le label Bleu Danube
Passionnée de musique de chambre, Julie se produit auprès de grands artistes tels qu’Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Régis Pasquier, Laurent Korcia, Anja Linder, Gary Hoffman. Elle a joué dans diverses formations,
Grâce à l’Institut Français de Pointe Noire, Julie a participé à deux tournées au Congo au sein du quatuor Arc’en Cello, puis à une tournée au Maroc sous l’égide de l’Institut Français d’Agadir.
En 2022 elle se produit aux États Unis au Harvard Club de New York , à la Maison Française de Washington DC et à Meeting Street ( Providence ) et au Chicago Club et y sera à nouveau en tournée à l’automne 2023 .
Parce que la musique soigne l’âme , Julie est aussi Directrice Artistique de l’association CoCreate Humanity au service des humanitaires , et joue régulièrement pour l’association Tournesol Artistes à L’Hôpital.
